Position Summary

The Sr. Manager, Math Test Quality Assurance Engineer oversees a team of Math Test Engineers who validate the math models driving electronic gaming machines, including slot, keno, and video poker products. This role works with mathematicians, software engineers, and SQA teams across the business to ensure accurate theoretical calculations and its software implementation. This role develops and maintains the team's process and tools and oversees timelines and deliverables for the function.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor a team of Math Test Engineers on the day-to-day activities; ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.

  • Establish best practices and ensure adherence to quality standards.

  • Oversee the creation of math model simulations in C++.

  • Partner with game designers to understand intended gameplay and ensure mathematical accuracy.

  • Oversee the execution of test scripts for math models on electronic gaming machines.

  • Test math models for all regulatory compliance standards.

  • Support external lab testing, provide clarifications, and resolve discrepancies raised during certification.

  • Create high quality documentation including rules of play document.

  • Submit and track any product issues found during testing to ensure they are resolved.

  • Introduce and follow up on process improvement initiatives.

  • Maintain and enhance existing tools to improve quality and reduce development time.

  • Provide reports on status to stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Academic and/or work experience with object-oriented language such as C++.

  • Good understanding of probability and statistics.

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel.

  • Familiarity with gaming industry a plus.

  • Gaming industry experience is preferred but not required.

  • 15+ years relevant Math Test experience.

  • 5+ years leading a team of Engineers.

Qualifications

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, Applied Math, Computer Science, or other quantitative degree required.
