The Strategic Military Space Division (SMS) is looking for a Student Electrical Engineer Assistant for part-time student assistance. Work will include assisting full-time Electrical Engineers in lab testing of flight hardware, analyses, reports, tracking test hardware and equipment. A lot of entry-level electrical engineering experience will be gained while helping programs with their critical needs.

The Strategic & Military Space Division delivers advanced satellite and sensor systems that support the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. Our division is a key component of national security, providing technological solutions and expert mission support. Requirements

  • Current student pursuing a degree in electrical engineering or a closely related field
  • Must be available to work 20 hours per week during semesters and up to 40 hours per week during summers
  • Experience with Spice or SIMPLIS oriented circuit simulation tools
  • Ability to work hands-on assembling and testing hardware
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work closely in a team with students and professionals
  • Ability to take initiative and ask questions
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential
  • Must be available to begin onsite support before October
  • Must be a US citizen, lawful permanent resident of the US, or other US person
Education
  • Electrical or computer engineering
  • Junior, senior, or graduate student
  • 3.5 GPA minimum is required
