Title: Safety Engineering Co-op (January - May 2026, August - December 2026) Salary: $30.00 / hour Focus: The Safety Engineering Co-op assists the EH&S team with safety investigations, training development, and ergonomic assessments to promote a safe and healthy work environment. Safety Engineering Co-Op Essential Job Functions: * Lead a minimum of three hands-on projects throughout the term, to be defined at the beginning of the rotation based on department and business need * Investigate safety incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions * Assist in developing new hire training and participate in FMEA discussions with cross-functional groups * Conduct ergonomic assessments using software and NIOSH techniques to support workplace safety improvements Safety Engineering Co-Op Minimum Requirements: * Enrolled at an accredited college or university majoring in an undergraduate Engineering degree program; Environmental, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering preferred. Preference given to students located within 50 miles of the assigned Olin location. * Must have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale at all times throughout your time at Olin. An official transcript will be required each term. Cumulative GPA on current institution transcript will be used in transfer college situations. * Must have completed sophomore year prior to first rotation with Olin * Ability to work full time (40 hours a week during normal business hours) either January - May 2026 or August - December 2026. Not eligible for virtual work. * Experience in ammunition and firearms with a knowledge of shooting sports industry is preferred * Preference will be given to candidates with availability and desire to work a minimum of three (3) terms with no more than one of those terms occurring over the summer * This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls * This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with the U.S. Department of Justice and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives * Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the requirement of a work/student visa *Olin does not provide any form of sponsorship.
