JOB TITLE: Project Executive



REPORTS TO: Senior Vice President



As a Project Executive at Pepper Construction, you'll lead high-profile, multimillion-dollar projects that shape the future of healthcare design and construction. You'll have the autonomy to drive strategy, mentor talented teams, and deliver projects that make a real difference in the communities we serve. RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Mentor and develop project personnel, providing coaching, feedback, and growth opportunities to strengthen team performance.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring consistent communication and partnership throughout each project.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by identifying and exceeding client needs through proactive communication and problem solving.
  • Support business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, leading client presentations, and negotiating new work.
  • Oversee all phases of project management, including estimating, value engineering, budgeting, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Review, negotiate, and manage subcontracts and material buyouts to ensure cost efficiency and risk mitigation.
  • Manage project costs through ongoing evaluation of labor, materials, and equipment, maintaining accurate forecasts and profit analysis.
  • Foster collaboration across project management and field supervision teams to ensure project safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
  • Provide leadership that promotes safety discipline, team motivation, and accountability at every level.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality standards, contract compliance, and safety protocols are being met.
  • Champion Lean construction principles to drive efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring consistent communication and partnership throughout each project.
  • Lead complex healthcare construction projects valued 50 million and above from concept to completion.



POSITION REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ yrs of experience in construction, with a strong focus on healthcare projects.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, delivering results on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and team development.



The target salary for this position is $160,000. We consider many factors when determining actual hiring salary. These factors may include location, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, internal equity, and market demands.
