The Department of Neurology, Stroke Division, at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, is seeking a Full-Time Staff Associate I for an NIH-funded study. The responsibilities include assisting with the management of SHIFT trial data and facilitating communication between the team and patients.

A. Functional Knowledge - 20%

- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the SHIFT protocol / Manual of Procedures

- Maintain Columbia IRB protocol (i.e. modifications, renewals, annual reports, etc.)

- Data management, focus groups and qualitative research

B. Problem Solving - 30%

- Identify, analyze, and solve problems; prioritize and rearrange tasks

C. Decision Making/Autonomy - 30%

- Coordinate and participate in SHIFT data management meetings and SHIFT investigator meetings.

- Participate in biweekly patient review meetings, providing updates on recruitment, follow up visits, or adverse events.

D. Technical Expertise - 10%

- Proficiency in using in REDCap database (for data collection & management)

- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

E. Communication - 10%

- Act as interface and liaison with SHIFT team members (CHW, CSW, CN) including a local Community Based Organization, treating team members, study statisticians, administrators, primary caregivers, and other coordinators.
