Copywriter

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand product features and target audiences.
• Transform technical information into clear, concise, and persuasive marketing copy for catalogs, websites, and other channels.
• Analyze product details and usage to create compelling and informative content.
• Participate in production meetings and contribute to the development of marketing materials.
• Adapt copy to meet the needs of diverse audiences and marketing objectives.
• Maintain a deep understanding of industry best practices and legal guidelines related to advertising copy.
• Proofread and edit copy to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand style guidelines.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a cohesive brand voice and message.
• Stay up-to-date on current trends and best practices in copywriting and marketing.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
• Basic knowledge of Macintosh or PC computers.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Experience writing advertising copy or related field.
• Experience working on the internet.
• Experience with desktop publishing programs (preferably QuarkXPress).
• Knowledge of FileMaker Pro.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $38.43 to $42.70 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
