Environmental Services Aide I

Primary Duties:

• Cleans common areas of MedStar Washington Hospital Center to include restrooms (staff and public), waiting rooms, hospital entrances, corridors, elevators and landings, stairwells, staff locker rooms, offices, conference rooms, etc.; This activity includes, but is not limited to pulling trash, high and low dusting, wiping exposed surfaces, replenishing appropriate supplies, dry and wet mopping, spot cleaning walls, and vacuuming.

• Performs; cleaning and changing mats, washing windows; washing and re-hanging cubical, window curtains, and vertical blinds; scraping residual paint from fixtures/equipment; and moving equipment, furniture, supplies/boxes, etc.

• Stocks cleaning cart and/or supply closet(s). May mix cleaning solutions from concentrated issue.

• Reports deficiencies in patient rooms and throughout MedStar Washington to shift supervisor and/orfacilitatesmanagement for action.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.

• At least 3 years of directly relevant job-related experience may be substituted for the educational requirement.

• 6 months' experience.
