The Business Analytics & Insights Structure within Financial Operations provides direct support to senior leadership. Reporting and analytical support provided by teams within this particular area in Business Analytics & Insights support executive leadership to make informed decisions. The teams focus on prospective insights by proactively identifying anticipated trends, providing monitoring and tracking of results relative to forecasts, and providing ad hoc decision support. The position, while under the Financial Operations umbrella, has a broad scope of work covering all areas across the enterprise.

Work arrangement: Hybrid or Remote

• A "Hybrid" position means selected candidates will be assigned to a facility (Bloomington, IL, Dunwoody, GA, Richardson, TX or Tempe, AZ) and will spend some time working both in office and from their home.
• If not located near one of the above office locations, a remote work arrangement is also available.

• Provides effective leadership over State Farm Financial Operations by modeling behaviors that encourage curiosity, collaboration, advance technical understanding, inspire ideas, and drive actions and results
• Serves as a consultant and advisor to Executive leadership on Enterprise performance management, strategy development, business acumen, interpretation of financial/statistical and analytic information, and marketplace issues
• Identifies, interprets, and shares insights collected from results, trend analysis, market insights, and forecast analysis with the Executive leadership team to leverage information in ways that positively impact planning, risk identification, and execution strategies
• Supports the Executive leadership team in communicating strategies and priorities and monitoring progress towards Enterprise goals
• Initiates or responds to requests for special studies, research, projects or committee work at the request of Executive leadership
• Promotes the training, personal growth, professional development, succession planning and effectiveness of direct reports within area of responsibility
• Leverages extensive specialized experience and technical expertise to support strategic direction and deploy plans and programs for the organization

• Master's Degree in Statistics, Applied Economics, Data Analytics or similar field, preferred
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience leading teams of technical Analysts in business data analytics, modeling, forecasting, machine learning or econometrics for a large insurance or financial services firm, preferred.
• Strong leadership skills, business knowledge, critical thinking, and analytic skills
• Ability to effectively communicate complex topics

• Demonstrates broad business acumen to drive connectivity and strategy of impactful projects

• A variety of related background experiences leading analytics efforts
• Adaptable to work non-standard hours to meet customer deadlines

Because work-life balance is a priority at State Farm, compensation is based on our standard 38 hr. 45 min. work week!

• Potential starting salary range: $145,000 - $175,000
• Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience
• High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience
• Potential yearly incentive pay up to 16% of base salary
