Team members are licensed or certified professional occupational therapists/certified hand therapists who work within a specific team structure to offer outpatient upper extremity rehabilitation services. Team members are required to have comprehensive knowledge of the upper limb with function and activity. These services are offered to patients who have disorders and conditions associated primarily with orthopedic upper extremity problems, burns, and amputations. The occupational therapist/certified hand therapist will report to the Director and Program Director of the Hand and Upper Extremity Center. Minimum Education Required All licensed professionals must be cleared through the National Database of Practitioners. Typically, one-two years experience working in a medical setting is preferred for all professionals hired. Occupational Therapists hired after August 2010 must attain and maintain hand certification no later than 24 months after eligibility is met. |
