Responsibilities About the Role The Lead Sterile Processing Technician provides advanced expertise in reprocessing surgical instruments while mentoring and training new staff. This role ensures high-quality performance, compliance with standards, and leadership support for Sterile Processing operations. Key Responsibilities Oversee reprocessing, sterilization, and high-level disinfection of surgical instrumentation. Support case cart preparation and inventory management. Train, mentor, and coach Sterile Processing Technicians. Conduct quality assurance activities and collaborate with infection prevention teams. Act as a resource for instrument management systems and departmental leadership. Minimum three years of sterile processing experience. CRCST or CSPDT certification required; CIS/CHL or equivalent certifications to be acquired within two years. Supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
