Assistant Scientist

Establish and maintain field and greenhouse trials focused on weed management, including data collection, analysis, and synthesis. Emphasize trials related to herbicide resistance mechanisms in crops.

The Department of Agronomy was established in 1906 to promote advances in agricultural practices in the state of Kansas. Advances throughout the history of the Department have had a significant impact on transforming the bounty of Kansas' natural resources into the present standard of living enjoyed by its people.

This position is On-site.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Requires a bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

• M.S. degree or B.S. and experience in agronomy or related field.

Additional licenses / registrations / certifications:

• Driver's license
• Certified pesticide applicator's license
