Responsibilities
Overall Assignment Description: The Senior-level NRG Technical Deputy Lead is responsible for ensuring the successful technical execution of the NRG program. The NRG Deputy Lead/Expert SE works interfaces with the NRG Contractor Lead, Contractor Chief Engineer, and Government PMs to plan and orchestrate work activities for coordinated deliveries and comprehensive solutions. The NRG Technical Deputy Lead provides technical expertise and engineering advice to the Government on programmatic matters related to lifecycle engineering and industry program management best practices to maximize the program's successful contribution to NGA's GEOINT mission. Duties include:
Provide program management and technical support to the NRG Program Manager to include cost, schedule, risk, requirements and performance management of all project staff and work
- Prepare executive level briefings regarding all aspects of the NRG
- Works with NRG Contractor Lead, Contractor Chief Engineer, and Government PMs to ensure issues are identified, mitigation strategies are understood, and courses of action are
- Provide program management support to Government Program Managers to facilitate the technical execution of the Program Management support includes cost, schedule, risk, requirements and performance management of work activities.

Skills and Experience: Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Engineering, Engineering Management, Information Technology, Mathematics, System Engineering, or a related STEM Degree Program, or related equivalent additional experience of 4 years with no degree or 2 years with a non-STEM degree.
- 12+ years of experience as a Program/Project Manager in terms of cost, schedule, performance, and risk management.
- Manages multiple related teams, sets departmental priorities, and allocates resources to align with business objectives and annual plan.
Provides leadership to managers and professional staff. Is accountable for the performance and results of multiple related teams. Develops departmental plans, including business, production and/or organizational priorities. Decisions are guided by resource availability and organizational objectives. - Experience in engineering, design and analysis of IT or related systems experience in all phases of design, development, analysis and documentation, and development of standards and guidelines for tasks being performed.
- Experience with software development, scrum leadership, integrating various activities simultaneously, and rapid deployment of capabilities deployment to users.
- Previous IC or DoD program/project work
- TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph.
Desired:
- Master's degree in in Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, Operations Research, Business Operations, Business Management, or other relevant degree program. Expert-level work experience in government or industry, in DoD/IC Acquisition
- Project Management Professional (PMP), DAWIA Level III certification in Program Management or Systems Engineering, or equivalent specialized training and experience with Project Management and Systems Engineering tools and techniques.
- Experience with the development and/or review of cost estimates and the associated technical work scope necessary to achieve stated objectives.
- Experience in tailoring and using both Agile and Waterfall development methodologies
- Demonstrated experience with the identification of technical issues and proactive communication of possible impacts, as well as resolving technical issues.
- Experience in performing validation and verification of various engineering results and deliverables to ensure the highest quality results against customer requirements.
- Working knowledge of Automation, Augmentation and Artificial Intelligence
- Experience with and strong understanding of systems engineering
- Previous NGA and/or NSG/ASG program/project work experience

Target Salary Range
$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
