As the Materials Planning Analyst, you'll own the flow of packaging materials across a multi-site, multi-brand, and multi-vendor supply chain. From forecasts and inventory targets to supplier coordination and new item launches, you'll keep things moving smoothly, tackle packaging risks head-on, and implement smart processes that keep our supply chain efficient, agile, and ahead of the game.

What you'll do



  • Create sourcing schedules and purchase orders for multi-site, multi-category/brand, and multi-vendor supply chain.
  • Complete network wide packaging analysis on a weekly basis communicating risk to broader organization and working with the Supply Planning team to mitigate risk where possible.
  • Establish optimized inventory targets, replenishment processes and KPI's with co-manufacturers and/or re-packers and suppliers to drive accountability in the packaging supply chain.
  • Issue monthly and ad hoc packaging forecasts to suppliers and internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Coordinate new item launches and item transitions while managing key stakeholder expectations.
  • Own and improve the packaging obsolete inventory reporting process.
  • Track packaging transitions across responsible categories and deliver obsolescence at or within budgeted allowance. Articulate and broadcast outlier obsolescence to cross functional team.
  • Support and manage continuously expanding purchasing scope to include new co-manufacturing sites.
  • Manage and execute packaging material supply strategy for new co-manufacturing locations ramp up. Responsible for developing and implementing best practices with new co-man material planning counterpart (inventory reporting, packaging release cadence & coverage, etc.).
  • Onboard new packaging suppliers from material planning perspective. To involve communicating clear forecast requirements by packaging size on an established cadence for both supplier's production capacity planning as well as raw material planning.
  • Manage materials related inputs in Tru Fru systems (Blue Yonder, SAP, Reltio, etc.).


What you'll bring to tru fru

You are...



  • Collaborative, managing ongoing packaging requirements with co-manufacturing locations based on inventory, production needs, and open purchase orders.
  • Strategic, evaluating and executing packaging fulfillment strategies in partnership with Finance, Supply Planning, and Procurement.
  • Proactive, ensuring timely packaging availability and resolving vendor issues.
  • Engaged, participating in QBRs and supplier relationship activities.
  • Organized, documenting departmental processes in clear SOPs.
  • A project leader, driving material planning initiatives for new system onboarding, including SAP or other tools as needed.


You have...



  • 5 to 7 years' experience in a material planning or supply planning role.
  • 2 to 3 years' of project management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Supply Chain.
  • Experience in developing planning strategies for a complex portfolio of products.
  • Demonstrated experience with a tier 1 ERP system.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.


Pluses



  • APICS Certification
  • Vendor management experience (packaging suppliers is a plus)
  • Experience working through systems implementation
