Job Description This role is primarily focused on material handling within the Wire Mill, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of work-in-progress (WIP), raw materials, and finished goods. In addition to core material-handling duties, this position carries added responsibility for maintaining workplace organization, cleanliness, and supporting 5S initiatives. The individual will play a key role in keeping the Wire Mill safe, organized, and running smoothly by combining hands-on material flow management with continuous improvement practices. Essential Job Functions Safety - Performs all tasks in a safe manner, wearing required PPE and following all safety regulations to include operation of powered industrial vehicles Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, stage, and store materials. Support WIP management to ensure materials are readily available for production. Maintain an orderly and organized workspace by following 5S principles. Take ownership of cleaning, organizing, and sustaining production and storage areas. Assist with warehouse functions as needed, including receiving, inventory support, and staging. Clear communication with coworkers on next shift of priorities and open needs Additional duties as assigned Requirements *Please note:* This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR), as such, applicants must be a U.S. person defined as a citizen, national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee. High School Diploma or GED required Forklift experience Prior experience in production or warehouse operations. Knowledge of 5S, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement practices. Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently Manufacturing systems knowledge Ability to read charts and document numbers Very comfortable with computer and able to use basic MS Office programs and local systems Customer Focused with a Sense of Urgency Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
