Niacc is seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Technician / Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience in fabrication, welding, and basic electrical systems.




  • Operate and maintain fabrication equipment including lathes and mills
  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of materials
  • Interpret and work from blueprints and electrical/mechanical schematics
  • Assist in building, assembling, and testing mechanical components and systems
  • Apply a basic understanding of AC and DC electrical theory in troubleshooting and setup
  • Ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving ability
  • Experience in fabrication: tooling, machining, mill and lathe operation
  • Proficient in MIG and TIG welding
  • Basic knowledge of electrical theory: AC and DC systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational and communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training is a plus



Experience:




  • Min 2+ years of experience in component repair
  • Able use and read various precision measuring equipment such as, Caliper, Vernier
  • Micrometers, air/bore gauges.
  • Elevated level of motivation and ethics
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Military or Trade School a plus
  • Must be able to clearly document maintenance performed on required forms
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Perform work within estimated hours.
  • You must be flexible to work long hours including weekends as needed.
  • Must be able to speak, read, comprehend and write English clearly and distinctly.
