Intake manager Opportunity

The Intake Manager assists the Director of Admissions with the administrative oversight and direction of the hospital's Admissions Department. This position provides supervision to a staff of specialists in the provision of patient access to care and behavioral health assessment services, including call management, clinical evaluations for level of care, crisis intervention, admissions and referrals. This position interfaces closely with the hospital's medical staff, nursing staff, department leaders, and administration, as well as external referring agencies. The Intake Manager is responsible for assisting with departmental adherence to policies and procedures, regulatory compliance, service excellence, and data entry/management. In addition, Intake Manager will assist the Director of Admissions with interviewing, hiring, and training of new employees as well as appraising performance, disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, mental health, or a related field.

Experience: A minimum of three (3) years direct clinical experience, preferable in a psychiatric or mental health setting. Working knowledge of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) and experience in clinical interviewing, patient assessment, family motivation, treatment planning, communicating with external review organizations or comparable entities, and working effectively with people of diverse backgrounds. Must have strong management skills with ability to effectively communicate with staff, ensuring proper employee performance management.

Licensure: A.P.S.W., L.C.S.W., L.M.S.W., LPC or applicable license.

Additional Requirements: Complete knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and trained in de-escalation procedures, CPI and CPR certification.

Work Hours: Evening Shift of 3:00pm - 11:30pm, with possible weekend rotation.
