Engineering Fleet Asset Internship (Paid)

Internship Details:

• This is a 10 Week Summer Internship Program starting on May 26, 2026, and ending July 31, 2026. (Location: CSX HQ or minimal hybrid/remote)
• CSX provides optional intern housing for the duration of the 10-week program, as long as the selected intern meets eligibility criteria
• Competitive hourly pay
• Up to 10% travel for specification reviews
• The Summer Internship Program will include: Cross-functional learning, Local Onsite Visits, Executive Networking Sessions and Lunch & Learns and more

Primary Activities and Responsibilities:

• 30% Data Analysis
• 30% Working with department heads for specification review and updates
• 25% Running report creation
• 15% Developing strategy

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program from an accredited institution
• Cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 (based on a 4-point scale)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Major or Concentration in Asset Management, or a related major field of study
• Anticipated graduation within a year after the end of the internship
• Cumulative minimum GPA of 3.5 (based on a 4-point scale)
• Asset management experience

Knowledge and Skills:

• Proven leadership ability and initiative
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
• Ability to develop and deliver presentations to a senior level audience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

Job Requirements:

• Work inside an office environment
• Communicate effectively with senior leadership/executive audiences
• Work within established deadlines
• Successfully complete a background check and drug test
