SNF Holding Company is currently seeking a Senior Production Engineer in Riceboro, GA.


Responsibilities

Monitor plant performance to ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and production standards. Report any deficiencies or nonconformities to the Flocryl Management Team; Updating LOTO/isolation drawings for process equipment, and updating equipment lists; Collaborating closely with the site's project engineering group to maintain the accuracy of the plant's Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and overseeing the Flocryl Management of Change (MOC) system from generation to completion, including conducting pre-startup safety reviews, reviewing procedures, ensuring they conform to EHS and PSM standards, providing technical training to operators, supervisors, and managers, and developing/updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); Assist Plant and Production Managers in troubleshooting plant process deficiencies and conducting R&D trials; Propose solutions to improve processes and draft engineering requests (ER) for submission to the project engineering team; Developing the scope of work (SOW) and estimated budget for proposed engineering requests, including equipment and required labor; Support the project engineering team in the implementation of proposed solutions; Facilitate and support continuous improvement, safety, and production related projects; Track and complete open action items from incidents, audits, inspections, PHAs, and other findings; Support Plant and Production Managers during plant start-ups and shutdowns as required. Develop, improve, and sustain the preventive and corrective maintenance and Total Product Maintenance programs. Up to 10% travel (8% domestic and 2% international); Must live within normal commuting distance of Riceboro, GA; Up to 10% remote work allowed when life circumstances require it (e.g. when sick).


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field or foreign equivalent degree
  • 5 years of chemical manufacturing experience
  • Prior experience must include: Troubleshoot and implement process improvement with unit operations, including distillation columns, scrubbers, filtration systems, and incinerators in a time-sensitive environment; Design improvements for monomer production systems for safety, environmental, quality, and/or productivity reasons; Develop budgets, scopes of work, and schedules for capital projects; Manage projects for capital and/or non-capital projects; Apply OSHA PSM requirements, overseeing MOCs, participating in PHAs, and collaborating in incident investigations by collecting evidence, discussing root cause analysis and developing corrective actions to prevent future incidents; Manipulate Distributed Control Systems (DCS) to achieve proper operation of the plant: Review program functionality, troubleshoot interlocks and compare DCS program against approved control narrative; Communicate through written and verbal methods to convey complex technical concepts, developing comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for various operations and providing training to operators for process changes. Up to 10% travel (8% domestic and 2% international); Must live within normal commuting distance of Riceboro, GA; Up to 10% remote work allowed when life circumstances require it (e.g. when sick).
