Sales and Marketing Manager- Procurement Solution (Source AI)
Job ID: 100619

Do you want to work on complex and pressing challenges-the kind that bring together curious, ambitious, and determined leaders who strive to become better every day? If this sounds like you, you've come to the right place.
Your Impact
As the Global Solution Asset Leader of Source AI, an innovative GenAI-enabled category management platform, you will play a pivotal role with responsibilities spanning the following main categories of work.
In this role, you will focus on driving the adoption of solutions in projects, supporting the development of new project opportunities, and managing alliances with third-party vendors. Additionally, you will be committed to improving capabilities through product and team development while overseeing team operations and handling administrative tasks.
You will be responsible for the adoption of Source AI capabilities on McKinsey procurement programs, ensuring a best-in-class experience for consultants and clients. This involves managing third-party solutions throughout their lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the solution vision, and collaborating closely with third-party engineering teams to deliver successful products. Additionally, you will work with consultants and experts to meet adoption and customer satisfaction goals.
As an Asset Leader, you will also define and lead the sales strategy, driving client development, proposals, and managing the commercials of client engagements. Experience in sales, ideally within a business-to-business (B2B) procurement platform, is essential for this role.
In this role, you will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with external players, establishing partnerships, and managing the overall P&L of the asset. You will oversee and track team utilization, manage the solution balance sheet to ensure optimal resource allocation, and conduct steering committees with the client capability network and PDP leadership. This includes defining the third-party solution strategy and roadmap.
You will oversee a team of colleagues across the solution to support McKinsey's dual mission of delivering client impact and developing colleagues. This includes preparing the team to scale and support double the capacity year over year. At the same time, you will be expected to be an expert on procurement topics, assisting in letters of proposals (LOPs) and client conversations.
Lastly, in this role, you will perform product demos for internal client service teams, clients, and in support of workshops and conferences. You will also set pricing to meet revenue and adoption goals, deliver bi-weekly overview reports, and propose an overall budget to ensure success. Creating annual adoption and revenue forecasts is part of the strategic planning responsibilities of this role.
Your Growth
Driving lasting impact and building long-term capabilities with our clients is not easy work. You are the kind of person who thrives in a high performance/high reward culture - doing hard things, picking yourself up when you stumble, and having the resilience to try another way forward.
In return for your drive, determination, and curiosity, we'll provide the resources, mentorship, and opportunities you need to become a stronger leader faster than you ever thought possible. Your colleagues-at all levels-will invest deeply in your development, just as much as they invest in delivering exceptional results for clients. Every day, you'll receive apprenticeship, coaching, and exposure that will accelerate your growth in ways you won't find anywhere else.
When you join us, you will have:
  • Continuous learning: Our learning and apprenticeship culture, backed by structured programs, is all about helping you grow while creating an environment where feedback is clear, actionable, and focused on your development. The real magic happens when you take the input from others to heart and embrace the fast-paced learning experience, owning your journey.
  • A voice that matters: From day one, we value your ideas and contributions. You'll make a tangible impact by offering innovative ideas and practical solutions. We not only encourage diverse perspectives, but they are critical in driving us toward the best possible outcomes.
  • Global community: With colleagues across 65+ countries and over 100 different nationalities, our firm's diversity fuels creativity and helps us come up with the best solutions for our clients. Plus, you'll have the opportunity to learn from exceptional colleagues with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • World-class benefits: On top of a competitive salary (based on your location, experience, and skills), we provide a comprehensive benefits package to enable holistic well-being for you and your family.
Your qualifications and skills
  • University degree with an excellent academic record; advanced degree preferred
  • 8+ years of experience working in a fast-paced, high-demand business environment, ideally in procurement
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within a business-to-business (B2B) procurement platform
  • Strong entrepreneurial capabilities
  • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills
  • Ability to connect with and build relationships with external players, establish partnerships, and manage the overall P&L of the asset
  • Ease in taking a top-management view and understanding the broader context of solutions; able to absorb and grapple with a wide range of complex business issues
  • Strong understanding of procurement with awareness of category management and sourcing tools
  • Effective communicator; able to translate complex technical and non-technical topics to stakeholders and client peers
  • Self-starter with strong people leadership, collaboration skills, and entrepreneurial drive
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Must be open to travel (~50%) and in order to fulfill our commitment to apprenticeship and community, consistent and predictable in-person/in-office working time is essential to this role
