The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is responsible for supporting the IT needs of UC Irvine faculty, students, and staff. Our mission is to provide information technology leadership, services, and innovative solutions to promote the research, education, and community service goals of the University.

The FM IT Team supports applications, systems, and tools used by Facilities Management and the Department of Finance and Administration, primarily through the IBM Tririga platform. Support includes design, development, enhancements, consultation, security and privacy analysis, operational support, incident management and troubleshooting, maintenance for both in-house applications and vendor integrations. Support can also include development of best practices, optimization of workflows, research into new tools and technology, and proof of concept design.


Your Role on the Team

Under the supervision of the Manager, Facilities Management, EH&S IT, the Application Developer applies professional programming concepts for small to medium-sized projects or portions of larger projects. Resolves a variety of programming design and implementation issues. Works on programming assignments of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Responsible for administration of FM IT infrastructure and core vendor software package installation, configuration, and maintenance.

Required:

  • Knowledge of secure software development.
  • Intermediate skills associated with the design, development, modification and deployment of software, including object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Knowledge of other IT related areas.
  • Demonstrated software repository skills.
  • Experience with common programming tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow software specifications.
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
  • Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Adhere to OIT's cultural values: Collaboration, Respect, Trust, Transparency, Quality, Inclusiveness, Customer Centricity, and Learning and Growth.
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
  • 1-3 years of experience as a software developer and/or windows systems administrator.

Preferred:

  • Detailed and practical knowledge of IBM Tririga, React, and MSSQL.
  • Detailed and practical knowledge of Tririga middleware, setup, and systems administration.
  • Knowledge of Windows operating system security and configuration.

Special Conditions:

  • Must reside in California.
  • May be required to work overtime, as needed.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $31.47- $38.31 (Hourly).
