As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in helping to create a secure and welcoming environment at an educational location. Your responsibilities will focus on access control, monitoring entry points, and conducting routine patrols throughout the premises. Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the location.
• Monitor and control access to the premises, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering and/or exiting the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the campus and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential risks.
• Document and report any suspicious activity, security-related incidents, or policy violations observed during patrols or while monitoring access points.
• Assist with emergency response activities as needed, including guiding individuals to designated areas and communicating with emergency personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to the campus community.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
