Co-op Description PCC Airfoils, LLC, headquartered in Greater Cleveland, Ohio, is a world leader in the fast-paced, high-tech industry of investment casting. Each of the thirteen (13) Airfoils' locations plays an integral part in the manufacture of blades, vanes and components for use in gas turbine engines. Position Purpose

To provide work assignments which align with student interests and goals, and to develop experienced and talented candidates for PCC technical positions. Work assignments will be reviewed during the co-op period, and where feasible, modified to better align with student interests, goals, and capabilities.

The incumbent is responsible for performing various and increasingly challenging technical tasks within an IT department in order to:

  • Learn and become more proficient at those technical tasks.
  • Augment education with work experience.

The incumbent will spend time with Help Desk issues in order to obtain a basic knowledge of the business environment and to understand the technology, applications, and users.

The development and implementation of C#,VB6, and/or SQL based applications and reports based on the requests provided during the co-op period.

Qualifications:

  1. Full-time student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / CIS.
  2. Good understanding of .Net, C#, and SQL.
  3. Good understanding of logic, Boolean algebra, etc.
  4. Good understanding of basic PC and network hardware and printers
  5. Basic understanding of Crystal Reports a plus
  6. Good analytical skills to be able to analyze a system and understand how it works.
  7. Highly motivated and results oriented.
  8. An aggressive approach to problem solving.
