Finance Site Lead - La Tiara - Kansas City, MO

OVERVIEW

We are excited to welcome the La Tiara taco shell and seasoning brand to the General Mills family of brands! We believe the La Tiara brand will serve as another competitive Mexican brand alongside Old El Paso. We've seen significant customer demand with this brand, which provides a meaningful opportunity to grow our Mexican Business while also driving competitiveness in the category. La Tiara will operate within the North America Retail (NAR) Mexican Business Unit.

The Gladstone Finance Site Lead is a cross functional role that will allow you to collaborate with peers to achieve plant goals, partner with plant operations to support business results and the plant mission, support a strong fiduciary environment, analyze metrics and reporting, and provide business insights. You will have financial responsibility for the site that is part of the NAR Mexican BU in a non-union work system.

As a member of the Plant Leadership Team, you will gain significant Cross-Functional Team Leadership. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the La Tiara integration team in leading the development of processes necessary to develop a strong financial management and controls culture.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensure Effective Plant Financial Management
  • Responsible for development and execution of the annual operating plan, periodic financial forecasts, and monthly financial close.
  • Responsible for monitoring financial performance, identifying key risks and opportunities and develop plans to close any gaps to plant targets.
  • Supporting site delivery of annual HMM (productivity) targets.
  • Ensure Effective Financial Controls that comply with all company policies and supports the safeguarding of company assets.
  • Maintaining audit ready status of internal controls through periodic review and self-audit.
  • Collaborate as a strong voice on the Plant Leadership Team (PLT)
  • Support development and execution of site strategies including financial insights on capital investments
  • Provide support and leadership on cross functional plant and corporate initiatives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well on team and build effective relationships across all levels of the organization (Partnership for Impact) and coach/develop others

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Experience working in a finance/accounting role within manufacturing
  • Experience with SAP in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven analytical and strategic skills (Analytic Proficiency)
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Assertive, self-confident, and willing to offer opinions and insights (Plant/Site Leadership)
  • Initiative and ability to work independently and to effectively work with a team (Situational Agility)
  • Ability to influence, develop, and motivate peers (Matrix Relationship Management)
  • Desire to work cross functionally with all plant functions (Cross-Functional Leadership)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS:

  • This role is based in our new Gladstone Plant located in the metro Kansas City area
  • International relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered.

Salary Range



The salary range for this position is $81000.00 - $121700.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
