Procurement Manager

STS Technical Services is hiring a Procurement Manager in Stafford, Virginia. This role is responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with U.S. defense procurement regulations related to drone programs.

The Procurement Manager will oversee the full procurement lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align purchasing activities with program budgets and schedules. This position requires strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS compliance, cost control, and supplier management in the defense or aerospace industry.

Procurement Operations

• Manage procurement from requisition to purchase order issuance and supplier delivery tracking
  
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and finance teams to align procurement with program milestones and budgets
  
• Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions to maintain cost, quality, and delivery standards
  

Compliance and Documentation

• Ensure compliance with U.S. government procurement regulations including ITAR, FAR, and DFARS
  
• Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and audit-ready documentation
  
• Support both internal and external audits of procurement activities
  

Process Improvement

• Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes, tools, and systems
  
• Implement best practices in sourcing, cost reduction, and risk mitigation
  
• Lead procurement during the transition of products from development to full-scale production
  
• Develop strategies to ensure scalability, manufacturability, and cost efficiency
  

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field
  
• 5-8 years of procurement experience, preferably in defense or aerospace
  
• Strong knowledge of U.S. government procurement regulations and compliance standards
  

• CPSM, CPIM, or equivalent certification
  
• Experience with international sourcing and export control regulations
  
• Proven success in supplier development and cost-saving initiatives
