What you'll do in this role: The Distribution Shipper builds healthy communities through play and recreation by ensuring products are accurately handling the transportation needs of the business (domestic and/or international). This role will be in daily communication with team members and/or other transportation partners regarding problem resolution, scheduling, and information retrieval. Shipping hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30, the candidate will need to work these hours and be available to work overtime as required. Safety:
- Comply with all safety requirements and maintain a strong safety culture. Must have a safety-first mentality through proactively speaking up about concerns, following PPE requirements and setting an example for others to follow.
- Use caution when driving the forklift and follow all rules from training.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in accordance with 5S requirements for cleanliness.
Quality:
- Inspect materials and ensure bills of ladings are correct.
- Verify the quantity and quality of material picked and packed.
- Verify proper quantity of pallets are loaded on the proper carrier trucks.
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork.
- Set an example for team members of commitment, application of skill, work ethics and habits and personal character.
Delivery:
- Load trucks with outgoing products and unload trucks with incoming materials
- Affix completed address labels, and any other special labels required for the handling of material and specified by the carrier
- Place incoming materials into storage
- Create customer chip samples.
- Be willing to flex to other warehouse position as required by workload including...
- Fedex and UPS shipments daily
- Pick orders from stock.
- Prepare products for shipping to customers.
- Ensure customer order and product matches: box, crate, shrink-wrap as necessary
- Operate various machines to include wrapper, bander, hand tools, forklift, various hand and power tools, etc.
- Contact common carriers and schedule pick-ups, ensuring the meeting of customer delivery requirements
- Creates BOL's and contact carriers to comply with customers' requirements.
- Ability to call in Trucks and make BOL's. Ability to run orders in the portals.
- Ability to Run prepaids
Cost:
- Completes daily entries in hour by hour and other data collection as required
- Identify and implement improvements in coordination with continuous improvement.

- High School diploma or equivalent is desired.
- 1 to 3 years of general shipping & warehouse is desired.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide variety of Company personnel and others.
- Requires the ability to operate various hand and power tools.
- Requires the ability to pass forklift operator course and drive a forklift.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Looking for a strong safety minded, enthusiastic person with can do attitude. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving ability. Must have excellent work ethic with strong communication skills to engage with both the customer and internal teams.
