About the Opportunity:

The Site Supply Chain Manager will lead supply chain for the site while achieving performance targets in safety, quality, delivery, customer satisfaction, profitability, and growth through a relentless focus on Kaizen. Additionally, this role will be responsible for implementing and leading the SIOP processes for the site. The Site Supply Chain Manager will lead and develop a high performing team of direct resources to meet the forestated performance objectives. This role has responsibility for leading and influencing the team to ensure raw material needs are met and right sized at the site and division level, creating, and implementing of best practices, tools, and templates to optimize procurement planning and execution across the division, and resolving raw material and outside vendor service shortages/escalations. The Site Supply Chain Manager will work as a collaborative leader across the division team to prioritize overall Company success.

Location: Plainville, CT and South Windsor, CT

This role will be onsite and will travel about 10%-25% of the time.

Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate prices for raw materials, shop supplies, and outside services while maintaining materials to support production.
  • Act as a working leader to implement and lead the site SIOP processes ensuring all material order is placed, inventory/cash targets are met and escalations from this process are worked to resolution in a timely and effective manner.
  • Work in partnership with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.
  • Collaborate across the organization on policy deployment targets focused on cash generation and cost reduction.
  • Establish performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.
  • Analyze current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.
  • Lead a small team of supply chain specialists.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of progressive procurement experience - OR - in lieu of degree, 8 years of progressive procurement experience
  • 2 years of complex project management experience
  • 2 years of leadership experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Aerospace and/or manufacturing experience
  • Strong understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and other process optimization tools to drive efficiency and readiness.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional and matrixed teams and drive collaboration across departments.
  • Ability to analyze production data, identify trends, and make informed decisions regarding readiness planning and process improvement.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment requiring you to pivot and adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Working Conditions

  • Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
  • Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor
  • Occasional weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines, and schedules.
