DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will play a crucial role in supporting the laboratory division by managing the receipt of supplies and samples, ensuring their verification and documentation. Your responsibilities will include preparing samples for analytical analysis, creating standard solutions and reagents for various tests, and extracting samples according to established procedures for further examination by chemists or microbiologists. Additionally, you may conduct standardized chemical tests that do not require professional analysis of the results, while also providing assistance to chemists or microbiologists in different laboratory settings as needed.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • This is a limited term, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits. The employee will work approximately 9 months.
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Completion of 60 college credits including nine credits in chemistry.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
