Our Adult Rehabilitation Centers provide life-changing programs while operating retail stores that fund our community services. About the Role Lead our retail operations as Director of Retail Operations, where you'll oversee a comprehensive network of stores, warehouse operations, and work therapy programs. This senior leadership role combines strategic retail management, operational excellence, and mission-driven work to support The Salvation Army's rehabilitation programs and community impact. Classification: Full-Time Exempt, Salaried Pay Rate: $77,000-$82,000/Year Key Responsibilities Financial Leadership
- Manage staff and resources with integrity and fiscal accountability
- Support budget preparation and daily management of center operations
- Review finance and sales reports daily/weekly with accuracy oversight
- Guide departments to work within approved budgets
Operations & Production Management
- Oversee all product donation pickup and store delivery operations
- Manage warehouse production for maximum efficiency and cost control
- Develop and implement product control procedures to prevent shrinkage
- Coordinate with vendors for rag and bulk sales to maximize profitability
- Maintain records on product acquisition, production, and sales trends
Store Operations Leadership
- Oversee comprehensive store operations across multiple locations
- Participate in sales forecasting and strategic planning
- Lead monthly manager meetings and develop marketing strategies
- Collaborate with leadership team on expansion and contraction opportunities
Property & Equipment Management
- Oversee preventative maintenance of all center properties and equipment
- Ensure compliance with OSHA Safety Guidelines and TSA policies
- Manage ARC fleet in accordance with Federal and State regulations
- Control property, utility, and supply waste while managing repairs
- Gather bids and coordinate property projects
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise Regional Retail Manager, Store Managers, Warehouse Manager, Transportation Supervisor, and Maintenance staff
- Handle recruiting, interviewing, hiring recommendations, and training
- Conduct annual personnel reviews and oversee time/attendance management
- Support corrective actions and ensure HR policy compliance
What You'll Need to Succeed Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or industrial arts preferred
- Five years of industry experience including production scheduling, supervision, and recruitment
- Equivalent combination of education and experience considered
Required Certifications
- Valid driver's license and qualification to drive TSA vehicles
- Forklift certification required (trainer certification preferred)
Essential Skills
- Strong English communication skills for leadership and personnel interactions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills
- Problem-solving abilities and excellent people development skills
- Ability to work flexible schedule including early/late shifts, Saturdays, and some holidays
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
- Capability to stand, walk, and work in warehouse/store environment
- Close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus
- Comfortable working in temperature-fluctuating environments

Working Conditions Work is performed in warehouse/office/store environments with moderate noise levels. Full-time position requiring weekend and evening hours as needed.
