About the Job

This role is not eligible for H-1B or Green Card sponsorship. This position is expected to last through the end of the Fall 2025 semester.

Job duties for this temporary, part-time position include:

  • Grading chemistry lab assignments and final presentations
  • Holding Q&A sessions after presentations over Zoom
  • Responding to student inquiries and meeting with students
  • Maintaining JustAsk 3 - 4 hours per week through the end of the semester
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree program in Chemistry (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Demonstrated content mastery in college-level chemistry.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in Chemistry
  • Previous experience as a chemistry instructor in a university or college setting.
  • Familiarity with undergraduate curriculum structures and student support and development philosophies.
  • Exceptional communication skills necessary to explain complex concepts clearly and patiently and understand/address student concerns
  • Proven reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.
  • Ability to schedule availability based on student needs.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $40.00 - $49.00 per hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
