Maersk Ground Freight (MGF) offers transportation services like FTL (Full Truckload), LTL (Less Than Truckload), brokerage, cross-border trucking, groupage, and sortation hubs, connecting Maersk or Customer warehouses or depots or cross-dock/consolidation/deconsolidation facilities through a robust network led by best-in-class operations and technology. This integrated network will service multi-channels like B2B, B2C, B2B2C, e-commerce, direct to store, dropship, returns, and more, leveraging asset-based, asset-light, and non-asset models. We are seeking a Global Operations Associate in Elizabeth, NJ! 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday Strong communication skills and Excel experience required. This position is responsible for working with customers overseas in order to facilitate rates, quotes, and an overall excellent experience for all parties involved. Coordinate the routing of import and export booking with airline and ocean carriers. EssentialFunctions: Timelypreparationofratesandquotesforcustomersandoverseasagents Prepareallnecessaryshippingdocumentationrelatedtointernationalbookingsandprocessallimport/export documentation to clearing agents to include: (HAWB's, MAWB's, AES's, Manifest, Shipping Instructions, Haz Cargo Decl., Bill of Ladings, and Certificate of Origin, etc.) Dispatch pick-ups to authorized agents and drayage companies, shipping lines, airlines, trucking companies,clearing agents, warehouses, and all other parties involved in the shipment Trackandtraceshipments,researchingandresolvinganyissuesregardingbillingorshippingdiscrepancies, communicatetimelycorrespondence back to both customers and vendors ActasaliaisonwithCustomBrokersandagents,alongwithOceanandAirTerminalOperators Label Air and Ocean shipments Process DG shipments including checklist Filing of AES Understanding TSA regulations Answering phones professionally and timely Answering email requests timely Must have knowledge of working with air and ocean carriers SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: * Multi-tasking individual with strong organization skills * Must have strong written and verbal communication skills * Communication, Ethics, Results Oriented, Problem Solving. * Computer Skills; Excel, MS Word * Well developed interpersonal skills. Ability to get along with diverse personalities. Pay Range: $21-$23 per hour *The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location.
