This position is remote within the state of AZ only. This remote work opportunity requires residency, and work to be performed, within the State of Arizona.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Provides tactical execution and business systems integration for all broker data consumed throughout the enterprise. Serves as the enterprise focal point and voice of broker data during engagement with strategic partners in Information Technology, eChannel, eSolutions, and other relevant company stakeholders who consume broker data to meet strategic objectives. Ensures the data quality and integrity for all stakeholders who consume broker data. Performs external broker commission payout activities on a monthly basis.

Required Work Experience

  • 2 year(s) of experience in an internal/external facing customer service role (internal/external facing) (All Levels)
  • 2 year(s) of experience in a professional business environment (including internships) (All Levels)
  • 2 year(s) of experience using Microsoft Excel to import data, sort, and distribute reports (All levels)
  • 1 year of experience using Alteryx, SQL, or other data tools
  • 2 years of systems integration experience between an insurance carrier and CallidusCloud (Level 2)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Level 1

  • Serves as a data steward/data custodian for broker data
  • Serves as a strategic technical partner to the Broker Contracting & Commission leadership team
  • Provides technical expertise for CallidusCloud Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) and CallidusCloud Workflow SaaS solutions, as well as other systems impacted by broker data
  • Serves as the subject matter expert for broker data and external commission configuration, providing guidance and support to team members and company stakeholders
  • Executes monthly payout activities for external commercial business, Medicare Advantage business, remedies payout errors, and finalizes payouts
  • Communicates with partners in Finance, Enterprise Managed File Transfer, and DXC Solutions teams regarding payout activities, balancing, and file transfers
  • Analyzes broker demographic and commission data for quality in all systems and data marts used by BCBSAZ
  • Proactively collaborates with leadership partners in Individual, Commercial, and Government business segments to define broker commission and contracting strategies to meet the evolving needs of our enterprise
  • Based upon interactions with and the needs of our internal stakeholders, defines user stories/business requirements and/or change requests needed to support external broker commission or contracting enhancements
  • Identifies which system changes can be internally configured vs. those requiring vendor configuration
  • Tests and deploys enhancements to the product portfolio, including rate table configuration changes, cross reference and product updates, and other modifications as needed to support the business
  • Works with stakeholders to identify and report any bugs/defects within the product portfolio
  • Collaborates with Product Owner to report all enhancement/change requests
  • Collaborates with Product Owner to report bugs/defects
  • Ensures daily, weekly, and monthly file transfer monitoring for broker data
  • Ensures adherence/compliance to Medicare Marketing Guidelines in relation to broker commission (agent oversight). Performs annual certification data activities related to this requirement.
  • Ensures adherence/compliance to Qualified Health Plan (QHP) regulations in relation to Individual On-Exchange broker commissions. Performs annual certification data activities related to this requirement.
  • Participates in internal and external audit activities related to Medicare/QHP compliance
  • Creates ad-hoc reports to meet the business needs within the team, for company stakeholders, sales operations partners, and the external broker community
  • Creates import data files and loads/posts them to the Callidus ICM platform for testing and production business needs
  • Performs root cause analysis for broker data anomalies and file import errors
  • Provides detailed status reporting to leadership and relevant stakeholders for enhancements, defects, and progress on other initiatives
  • Runs Scripted Query Language (SQL) statements to execute reports; capable of modifying existing SQL to support evolving business needs

Level 2

  • Serves as a strategic partner with stakeholders in Sales Operations, Financial Reporting, Payroll, Vendor Application Management, Informatics, and the external broker community
  • Under minimum supervision, performs advanced configuration tasks within the Callidus ICM and/or workflow products. These can include, but are not limited to, changes or additions to file sweep and import configuration, configuration of product and cross reference tables, new fields, new tables, etc.
  • Creates new intermediate to complex Scripted Query Language (SQL) statements to render advanced reports
  • Serves as System Administrator for Callidus ICM and/or Workflow products
  • Independently provides expert-level guidance to Information Technology partners on the future state of design and configuration with regard to all facets of broker data management

  • The position requires a full-time work schedule. Full-time is defined as working at least 40 hours per week, plus any additional hours as requested or as needed to meet business requirements.
