About The Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease The Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin and Dell Children's Medical Center (DCMC) is seeking a full-time pediatric cardiologist to serve an acute care cardiologist to support our rapidly growing team within the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease (TCPCHD) a collaboration between UT Health Austin (the clinical practice of Dell Medical School) and Dell Children's Medical Center, which was recently ranked No. 10 in the nation for Pediatric Cardiology and Heart Surgery in the2025-26 U.S. News & World Report Best Children's Hospitalsrankings. About The Pediatric Acute Care Cardiologist The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care, leadership, and innovation alongside our team of cardiologists and advanced practice providers. Although patient care is our primary focus, education and research are also encouraged and supported with access to dedicated research professionals including a statistician, research manager, and research coordinators. Our practice is located in central Austin, providing inpatient and outpatient support for all of central Texas and beyond. The position encompasses responsibilities in patient care, administration, program development, safety, quality and access for imaging services. This position will work with the Chief of Pediatric Cardiology and the leadership of the TCPCHD to execute on yearly personal and programmatic goals focused on the fundamentals of extraordinary care: safety, quality, patient experiences, access, and stewardship. Routine patient care will include: Management of intermediate and acute care cardiac patients, inpatient consultation, supervision of advanced practice providers, hospital service, and some outpatient clinic.
