The Global Operations Analyst - Business & Financial Modeling supports the development and execution of key strategic initiatives across our global operations network. In this role, you'll contribute to building business cases, gathering and analyzing data, and preparing materials that help drive decision-making on high-impact projects. You will learn how to evaluate supply chain performance, assess operational trade-offs, and develop financial and data models to support recommendations. This position offers hands-on exposure to global manufacturing, supply chain, and operations strategy in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. A curiosity about how global operations, economic trends, and new technologies shape business outcomes is important. Duties, Responsibilities, & Objectives:
Develop financial models to support qualitative and quantitative analysis for purposes including strategic planning, scenario planning, and key business decisions. Use Power BI and Databricks to organize data from ERP and other systems, creating dashboards and reports that help the team monitor performance, track progress to targets, and make informed business decisions. Leverage analytical mindset and business data to improve operations and product performance across Milwaukee Tool's supply chain network and conduct research to support business proposals. Help build business cases by summarizing financial data and turning it into clear recommendations. Support the review of project plans and proposals, ensuring alignment with business and team objectives. Schedule, develop agendas for, and facilitate project meetings. Document discussion with action items to effectively capture meeting topics and drive actions to closure. Establish appropriate metrics and report on progress, achievements, and results. Provide multiple "what-if" scenarios to identify the best path to the desired future state and understand their financial and operational impacts. Perform detailed ad-hoc analysis to support data-driven decisions and insights throughout the supply chain. Ensure changes are fully integrated through follow-up communication, perseverance, and consistency. Develop the ability to think several steps ahead using change management methodologies. Provide options to risk mitigation and escalate (when needed) key project hurdles or roadblocks. Stay current on macroeconomic and geopolitical trends to inform strategic project initiatives. Periodic travel may be required up to 25%+
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, or equivalent years of directly related experience in Operations roles Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Analytical approach to problem-solving with strong attention to detail and ability to dig deep to understand the business. Advanced level of Excel and data analysis skills with experience building financial or statistical models from scratch. Proficient project management skills Demonstrate analytical mindset Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills Possess strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills in an executive setting
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree pertinent to any cross-functional business interactions. Exposure to a manufacturing environment preferred. Success in managing multiple projects and changing priorities, making sound decisions and working effectively in a matrix environment. Capability to establish credibility with different business functions, collaborate with and influence project teams. Effective written and oral communication skills, ability to establish rapport and credibility.
