Job Title: Senior Billing Specialist Location: Virginia Beach, VA Work Type: * Temporary Role: 100% On-Site * Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM * Contract Duration: 3-4 months (Temporary) * Pay Rate: $20/hour Overview: We are hiring two Senior* Billing Specialists* to support a large health plan during its busiest season. One role is a short-term assignment focused on invoice processing and administrative billing tasks, while the other is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a broader analytical scope and long-term potential. Position 1: Temporary Senior* Biller (3-4 Month Assignment)* Responsibilities: * Print and organize invoices from the billing system. * Generate and prepare Form 5500 tax documents. * Sort, group, and package invoices for mailing or delivery. * Manage batch entry and ensure proper documentation. * Support billing for Individual Plans, Group Plans, and select government programs. * Work within CSC billing system (transitioning to Whipro & QNEXT). Qualifications: * 1-2 years of experience with Excel and general computer skills. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. * Ability to navigate billing systems and perform batch printing. * Quick learner with ability to adapt to short training period (1-2 weeks). Position 2: Billing Analyst (Contract-to-Hire) Responsibilities: * Manage billing for individual and group health plans, including retroactive adjustments. * Handle complex billing scenarios such as employee turnover and retro billing. * Export and analyze large data sets from CSC system using Excel. * Create and maintain spreadsheets using advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, pivot tables). * Prepare and organize invoices for internal distribution. * Support system transition to Whipro and QNEXT. * Collaborate with team members to ensure accuracy and timely billing. Qualifications: * Strong billing and accounts receivable background. * Health insurance experience highly preferred. * Advanced Excel skills and ability to perform data analysis. * High attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume billing (300-1,000+ invoices/day). * Ability to work independently and within a team. * 3-month training program provided. Form 5500 Overview: Form 5500 is an annual report required by the U.S. Department of Labor and IRS to verify employer-sponsored health and welfare plans. This role includes preparing these forms to confirm coverage for employee benefit plans.
