UMR, UnitedHealthcare's third-party administrator (TPA) solution, is seeking an experienced Technical Marketing eCommunications Analyst who is tech-savvy and loves to dig into the details while collaborating with key IT and business partners.

This analyst position will act as the go-to contact for UMR SMS and email performance, developing end-to-end custom reporting, optimizing datasets and enhancing system reliability through troubleshooting. You'll collaborate closely with IT and data engineering partners to define, refine and structure criteria by integrating highly matrixed systems to produce scheduled and ad hoc reports in line with key business objectives while keeping leadership appraised of overall KPIs.

For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the key analytics resource and expert for UMR email and SMS campaigns within applicable software platforms, working to integrate KPIs with external reporting platforms to consolidate data that is easily understood by business partners
  • Stratify data from multiple UMR resource repositories to ensure a full picture of email and SMS campaign performance
  • Develop easy-to-digest constituent engagement dashboards that provide a holistic view of campaign performance where SMS and/or email are at the forefront
  • Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of various connections (e.g., API) and file transfers (e.g., .csv, JSON, etc., via SFTP) between source systems
  • Develop and maintain connections between email and SMS platforms and reporting tools such as Adobe Analytics, Power BI, and Tableau
  • Collaborate and maintain ongoing partnerships with IT and data engineering teams to ensure technical alignment and data accuracy, optimize data pipelines, and troubleshoot as needed
  • Review SMS and email campaign results and functionality daily, including conducting in-depth ad hoc analysis via SQL, partnering with IT resources to troubleshoot and mend any identified issues
  • Support the development of email and SMS campaigns in an accurate, efficient manner consistent with marketing strategy, campaign objectives and best practices
  • Utilize excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines while being able to respond quickly and accurately to change

Communication Skills:

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with cross-functional team members, establish trust and credibility in a matrix organization utilizing Agile methodology, and demonstrate effective interpersonal, collaboration and listening skills
  • Present key findings and enhancement recommendations to leadership, business partners, or customers

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience establishing connections among multiple data sources (including defining dataset requirements) with marketing platforms or CRMs (e.g., API, SFTP)
  • 2+ years of experience working with data sets and reporting in marketing platforms or CRMs (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot Marketing Hub, Adobe Journey Optimizer)
  • 2+ years of experience working with data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Experience in communicating with business and technical leaders
  • Proficiency in developing and editing SQL queries for relational data sequences (working with multiple data sets) for custom reporting and analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics
  • Experience working within an Agile framework
  • Experience working in a matrix organization
  • Experience in health care/health insurance or pharmacy industry
  • HTML and responsive design coding exposure
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements & best practices for SMS and email

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $71,200 to $127,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
