Position Summary/ Department Summary:
We are seeking a Clinical Assistant to join the team within our Acute Cardiac Care Unit (ACCU).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Under regular supervision and following established procedures and instructions, provide basic direct care to patients as delegated by a Registered Nurse.
  • Assist patients with feeding and hygiene, obtain, measure and record routine information such as temperature, pulse and blood pressure, and performing other related duties according to specific needs of unit.
  • Obtain records/information and entering related information on appropriate computer systems.
  • Assist clinician during examinations (i.e. obtaining, measuring and recording routine information such as temperature and blood pressure, and performing other related duties according to specific needs of unit).
  • Transport patients, supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Identify and reporting unusual findings or changes in patient condition to Registered Nurse.
  • Work a rotating 36-hour schedule, with day/night rotations and every 3rd weekend.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
  • 1-year of Clinical Assistant experience or Nursing Student with at least one clinical rotation preferred.
  • Experience working on a team is preferred.
Licensure/ Certifications:
  • CNA certification or equivalent preferred

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
