Position summary
The Cardiology Group Marketing Manager serves as the strategic marketing lead within the Department of Cardiology, responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing the department's comprehensive marketing strategy in alignment with departmental priorities. This role partners closely with department leadership to identify and promote key focus areas, programs, and services, ensuring strategic visibility and growth across target audiences.

Working as the primary point of contact and liaison between the Department of Cardiology and Boston Children's Hospital's (BCH) Marketing Team, the Cardiology Group Marketing Manager translates departmental goals into integrated marketing initiatives and campaigns. This position will be responsible for driving the development of effective marketing plans, materials, and outreach programs targeting patients, referring physicians, and other stakeholders. Through data-driven insights and departmental collaboration, the Cardiology Group Marketing Manager ensures the consistent execution of high-impact marketing strategies that advance the department's clinical and academic priorities.

Key responsibilities
  • Develops and implements a comprehensive annual marketing strategy and integrated campaigns for the Department of Cardiology, designed to increase awareness, engagement, and growth across key audiences including patients, physicians, and referring providers.
  • Partners with clinical and departmental leadership to identify strategic priorities, key service areas, and growth opportunities, translating these into actionable marketing and communication plans that support the department's mission and institutional goals.
  • Leverages market research, data insights, and competitive intelligence to inform positioning, messaging, and campaign development, ensuring strategies are data-driven and audience-focused.
  • Collaborates closely with the BCH Heart Center Marketing team, as well as institutional Digital, Communications, and Business Development partners, to align marketing execution, strengthen digital presence, and maximize return on investment across campaigns and initiatives.
  • Analyzes and interprets market research and performance data to deliver in-depth market and competitive analyses, as well as actionable recommendations for enhancing visibility and differentiation in key markets.
  • Develops and executes strategies to expand the Department's reach and reputation locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally, positioning it as a leader in pediatric cardiology.
  • Builds a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and audience needs, identifying opportunities to address the unique challenges of consumers, patients, and referring physicians through compelling, differentiated value propositions.
  • Deepens subject matter expertise in cardiology conditions, services, and emerging opportunities to effectively communicate the department's strengths and innovations to diverse audiences.
  • Monitors and evaluates key performance indicators-including market share, volume, financial metrics, quality outcomes, and patient and physician satisfaction-to measure success and guide strategic adjustments.
  • Stays abreast of innovations in digital marketing, content development, and emerging technologies, incorporating new approaches and best practices.
Minimum qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Journalism, Business, Healthcare or equivalent
Experience:
  • 4 years' experience in marketing and communication building and executing digital and multichannel lead generation and/or brand campaigns.
  • Strategic thinker with strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Deep understanding of healthcare marketing and stakeholder relationship management
  • Proficient in developing integrated campaigns that drive measurable brand growth

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
