As a Principal RAN Performance SME at Nokia, your core mission will be to ensure best-in-class performance for our 4G/5G networks, directly contributing to superior end-user experience. You'll analyze system performance, optimize configurations, and collaborate with R&D and customer teams to drive superior network performance while strategically identifying growth opportunities for product and services. By driving continuous network & user experience improvements, you will play a crucial role in positioning Nokia as the leader in wireless mobility networks, ultimately supporting our broader mission of delivering innovative and inclusive technology solutions that empower connectivity worldwide.



  • Act as the primary network performance contact for major customers, ensuring optimal 4G/5G system performance.
  • Lead end-to-end performance validation from new product introduction (NPI) to mass deployment and beyond.
  • Discuss with customers' executives and regional or market teams strategic network initiatives .
  • Support the introduction of new software loads and features, including validation and optimization throughout their lifecycle.
  • Conduct proactive performance assessments, identifying improvement opportunities and proposing enhancements.
  • Analyze competitive performance data to identify strategic upselling opportunities for Nokia services and products.
  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation to achieve business objectives.


You have:



  • Understanding of 3GPP R15/R16/R17/R18 system requirements and Nokia's implementation
  • Deep knowledge of Nokia 4G/5G features, algorithms, KPIs/Counters, and optimization best practices
  • Experience in enabling, testing, and optimizing technologies like VoNR/VoLTE, Carrier Aggregation, and Massive MIMO
  • Ability to analyse and troubleshoot 4G/5G radio interface protocols and call flows


It would be nice if you also had:



  • Experience with crowdsourcing data for end user experience analysis and optimization
  • Understanding of C-RAN/O-RAN architecture and protocols
  • Programming skills in R, Python, or SQL
  • Experience with analytics and statistical models
