Provides expert guidance to HR and leaders on compensation topics. Helps design and manage total rewards programs. Reviews pay equity, analyzes market data, ensures legal compliance, and supports junior analysts.
- Partner with senior leadership to identify root issues and design strategic compensation solutions that address critical organizational challenges.
- Conduct complex analyses and develop implementation strategies grounded in HR and organizational design principles.
- Design and refine contemporary job structures and compensation programs that support recruitment, retention, and internal equity.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to Compensation team members; research and share emerging HR and total rewards trends.
- Advise management on job classification, interpretation of compensation policies, and application of reward programs.
- Develop and evaluate job descriptions, conduct audits, and prepare analyses that reflect both internal alignment and market competitiveness.
- Lead participation in compensation surveys; analyze market data and recommend adjustments to job evaluation and salary structures.
- Audit pay practices to ensure compliance with federal/state laws and internal pay policies; document and recommend corrective actions.
- Support the design of management information systems and dashboards that provide leaders with key compensation analytics and insights.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred.
- Minimum of five years of progressive compensation experience, including job evaluation, data analysis, survey participation, job description development, and pay policy interpretation. Experience in healthcare or financial analysis is preferred.
- Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, HRIS, and compensation management tools; skilled in statistical techniques and data-driven decision-making.
- Strong knowledge of job evaluation, salary administration, performance management, incentive pay, and relevant employment laws (FLSA, Equal Pay Act, ADA, Civil Rights Act, etc.).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills; able to interact effectively at all organizational levels and with external partners.
- Demonstrated integrity and discretion in handling confidential information; able to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and lead or mentor others as needed.
