Job Summary

A registered, licensed Occupational Therapist that delivers individualized comprehensive care to patients through rehabilitation department utilizing therapeutic use of self, innovative technology and collaboration among patients. Is responsible and accountable for providing, delegating and guiding patient care to achieve an optimum level of function for each patient through treatment, education and direction of progressive exercise and activity.

Conducts educational in-service on benefits of occupational therapy to patients/families, other disciplines (hospital staff), and to the community. Non-patient related duties include, but is not limited to, assisting in clerical duties of the department, posting charges, & light housekeeping duties within the Rehabilitation Department. Works under the general and direct supervision of the director of rehabilitation service.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education:

Must be a graduate from an AOTA approved school of Occupational therapy or aschool approved by the World Congress of Occupational therapy and must have passed the national certification examination

Req. Certification/Licensure:

Current Illinois state license in occupational therapy

Pref. Certification/Licensure:

CPR certification preferred
