POSITION OVERVIEW:

Leads planning and architecture for compute and storage platforms, ensuring scalable, secure and cost-effective infrastructure capacity across the enterprise

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Plan enterprise compute and storage capacity to meet current and future business demands
2. Design virtualization and platform architectures that maximize availability, performance and operational efficiency across on-premises and cloud environments
3. Evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and architecture approaches to optimize compute and storage platforms and reduce operational risks
4. Collaborate with system administration, data center management, and database teams to ensure seamless integration of new and existing infrastructure components
5. Define, implement, and maintain architecture and capacity standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent best practices across the organization
6. Manage, lead, and develop a team of high-performing architecture and capacity professionals, fostering technical growth, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence
7. Perform other duties as assigned
8. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
Five (5) years of experience in IT infrastructure architecture, compute and storage planning or platform design
Proven expertise in capacity planning, virtualization and platform architecture for enterprise environments
Strong knowledge of storage systems, compute platforms, cloud and hybrid infrastructure and virtualization technologies
Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring, performance analysis, and optimization tools
Strategic thinking to align architecture and capacity planning with business objectives
Analytical and forecasting skills to anticipate infrastructure needs
Strong leadership and team development skills
