Parkwood Behavioral Health System (a UHS facility): Parkwood Behavioral Health System provides behavioral health and chemical dependency services to the Mid-South region and has been in business since 1987. We are located in Desoto County, in the northwest corner of Mississippi and approximately 7 miles south of Memphis. JOB SUMMARY: The Performance Improvement Analyst assists in facilitating the coordination of a systematic organization-wide Performance Improvement program, evaluates performance improvement data to identify trends in quality of care concerns as identified by the Quality Council, Patient Safety Council and other quality referral sources, assures that all performance improvement activities are documented and reported appropriately and timely, supports and assists with the development and implementation of various performance improvement initiatives, tracks and analyzes trends and outcome reports and advises facility leadership on areas for improvement, provides education related to quality programs, processes and procedures, and functions in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Parkwood Behavioral Health System. Qualifications JOB SPECIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. Education: Bachelor degree in healthcare related field. Experience: Performance Improvement data collection and analysis. Licensure/Certification: Registered Nurse credentials required. Current CPR or BLS certification required Knowledge: Prior experience in abstraction with core measures, registries and/or performance improvement preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to work well with all levels of staff. Strong skills in analytical methodologies, understanding of databases, and/or spreadsheet, technical writing, quantitative analysis and/or use of statistical principles. Strong critical thinking skills with ability to handle changing work environment and prioritize activities based on department needs.
