Salary: 100-130,000/yr
Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Lead a cross-functional team of budget, reimbursement, and compliance professionals, ensuring effective coordination and accurate financial planning and reporting.

  • Oversee preparation, monitoring, and analysis of the annual operating and departmental budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and financial performance targets.

  • Manage and analyze hospital and physician reimbursement results, including preparation, review, and analysis of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer contracts.

  • Direct preparation and submission of annual Medicare and Medicaid cost reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

  • Serve as the primary liaison for governmental and third-party audits related to cost reporting and reimbursement.

  • Develop, maintain, and enforce financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure integrity and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Oversee preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with not-for-profit hospital and healthcare organization tax requirements.

  • Provide analysis and guidance on changes in reimbursement regulations and their potential financial impact.

  • Collaborate with departments to ensure accurate capture of cost, revenue, and statistical data used for cost reporting, rate setting, and decision-making.

  • Develop and maintain financial forecasts related to reimbursement and payer mix to support operational and strategic planning.

  • Present financial and regulatory compliance updates to senior leadership and governing boards as requested.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, government agencies, and external consultants to support compliance and maximize reimbursement opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.

  • Master's degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of managerial experience in finance or accounting, preferably in healthcare or a similarly regulated industry.

Licensure / Certification:

  • CPA preferred.

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
