About the Role:

Peraton is looking for an experienced Cloud Software Engineer to join our Cyber Missions team in Annapolis Junction, MD. You'll contribute to a suite of innovative, web-based applications that streamline and automate data management for Intelligence Community (IC) data custodians.

What You'll Do:

• Contribute to the development and enhancement of enterprise-level cloud and web applications.

• Use Java as your primary language to design, build, and maintain software solutions.

• Collaborate within an Agile team to define requirements, assign tasks, and track progress.

• Work across the full stack - from backend logic to front-end design - using modern frameworks like Quarkus and PrimeFaces.

Minimum Qualifications:

• TS/SCI with Polygraph is required

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Experience:

  • Shall have at least eight (8) years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution.

  • Shall have at least six (6) years of experience developing software with high level languages such as Java, C, C++

  • Shall have at least three (3) years of experience in software integration and software Unit Testing, to include developing and implementing test plans and test scripts.

  • Shall have at least five (5) years of experience developing software for UNIX/Linux (Redhat versions 3-5) operating systems.

Required Certifications (one or more):

• AWS Certified Developer - Associate

• AWS Certified Machine Learning - Associate or Specialty

• AWS DevOps Engineer - Professional

• Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)

Desired Skills:

• Experience with AWS Cloud services, Quarkus, PrimeFaces, and GitLab CI/CD.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools.

• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills; proactive and self-motivated.
