Machinist

We are seeking a Machinist for County Prestress & Precast at our Roberts, WI location.

Job Duties:

• Select machine speed, feed, and tools that are appropriate for the machining operation.
• Responsible for set up, operating controls, setting work holding fixtures, deburring, and inspection of quality parts.
• Machine parts to blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions.
• Measure using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure conformance to print.
• Operating Manual as well as CNC Machines on a regular basis
• MIG/TIG Welding along with Metal Fabrication
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:

• Work in indoor conditions.
• Work near moving machinery and equipment - could include electrical hazards.
• Work in a noisy environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Carrying/Lifting 10 - 40 Pounds frequently.
• Carrying/Lifting > 40 Pounds occasionally.
• Standing / Walking / Climbing.
• Squatting/Crouching/Kneeling/Bending.
• Pushing / Pulling / Reaching Above Shoulder.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 0-2 years of related experience with Manual/CNC Machines
• Background in Welding and Metal Fabrication
• Knowledge of commonly used industry concepts, practices, and procedures preferred.
• Exercise good judgment regarding work site unloading and operation.
• Ability to perform well as a team.
• Self-motivator and must be flexible in order to accommodate the needs of your team.
• Safety-minded when performing tasks.
• Ability and willingness to learn and be trained.
