Join the heart of campus life at the University of Arizona Student Unions, where culinary creativity meets community. We're seeking a passionate Dining Services Attendant (Culinary and Food Services Attendant I ) to bring their skills to our dynamic team.

The employee will be required to drive around campus during peak hours for half of the day to generate sales by offering food products. They will also be responsible for maintaining, stocking, and cleaning several vending machines located throughout the campus.

This position is an academic position and will work during the school year with summers off.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Stocks vending cart and sells product targeting high traffic locations on campus offering excellent customer service.
  • Cleans, fills and maintains smart vending machines on campus.
  • Checks in orders as they are received and assists with stocking grocery items.
  • Drives around campus to generate sales by offering food products and follow scheduled route.
  • Places order to Production Kitchen for product needed, requests transfer of product from other units.
  • Maintains first in first out of inventory products.
  • Keeps inventory of product on hand and sold items.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Experience operating commercial food service equipment.
  • Ability to promote food products in a friendly and engaging manner.
  • Ability to wash food service utensils and equipment.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work independently.

Physical Requirement:

  • Must be able to lift, move/transport a maximum of 50 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.
Preferred Qualifications

  • One year commercial or institutional food service experience.
  • Strong sales skills with a focus on meeting daily targets.
  • Experience operating commercial food service equipment.
