Job Description - Strategy and Process Program Manager I, II, III

Position Description
The Strategy & Process Program Manager is engaged in fostering a process aligned organization, developing and implementing continuous improvement programs. The Program Manager utilizes metrics to quantify incremental improvement. The Program Manager leads a collaborative prioritization process based on their expected benefits and value. This position is responsible for reporting activities related to measuring the performance of installed processes.

Program Manager ll - Co-leads with Leadership in fostering a process aligned organization, developing and implementing continuous improvement programs.

Program Manager lll - Responsible for fostering a process aligned organization, developing and implementing continuous improvement programs.

Position-Related Responsibilities

  • Lead process evaluations to develop innovative, cost effective improvements, with metrics to track progress and quantify results.
  • Develop key performance metrics and dashboards that enable good business decisions.
  • Lead benchmarking efforts for, including data collection and validation, data presentation, evaluation of results and recommendations and implementation of improvements.
  • Proactively recognize, plan and act on the need for innovation and improvement, help groups to overcome resistance to change and set expectations and targets.
  • Develop and implement strategy in support of company and organizational objectives.
  • Ensure that leaders have established work plans that support department and company goals and objectives.
  • Develop working relationships with customers & business partners ensuring that work plans and operations are coordinated, aligned and support department and company goals and objectives.
  • Support and communicate goals, objectives, vision and values.
  • Serves as key budget resource and guide to others. This includes assisting leadership with developing budgets and explaining variances.
  • May supervise, provide guidance and/or direct the work of others
  • This position may provide services to affiliates of the Company subject to the UNS Energy Code of Conduct and the related Policies and Procedures.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
(Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.)

Program Manager l:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Bachelors Degree and five years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong mathmatical background and experience with statistics.
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Power Point. Ability to use statistical funchtions and graphing in Excel.
  • Experience with formal process improvement programs preferred (ex: 6 Sigma, 4 Disciplines of Execution, Theory of Constraints).
  • Must have good written and verbal communications skills and the ability to work effectively with customers and all levels of Company personnel.
  • This position may provide services to affiliates of the Company subject to the UNS Energy Code of Conduct and the related Policies and Procedures.

Program Manager ll:

  • Bachelors Degree and seven years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    Ability to effectively lead change.
  • This position may provide services to affiliates of the Company subject to the UNS Energy Code of Conduct and the related Policies and Procedures.

Program Manager lll:

  • Masters Degree preferred and ten years previous utility experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to persuade higher levels of leaders and leadership peers to change positions or approach based on situational need.
  • Ability to exhibit comfort in interacting with senior executives. Ability to convey credibility, confidence and sense of authority.
  • Conveys messages simply, concisely and at right pace and tone for audience. Remains calm, controlled and productive when confronted by opposition or work stress.
  • This position may provide services to affiliates of the Company subject to the UNS Energy Code of Conduct and the related Policies and Procedures.

Pay Rate: Salary determined based on candidates experience and qualifications.
