Senior Distribution Specialist Overview:

The Senior Distribution Specialist plays a key role in optimizing Sun Country Airlines' presence across global distribution channels. This position is responsible for managing relationships with online travel agencies (OTAs), tour operators, global distribution systems (GDS), and metasearch partners. The role combines strategic partnership management, data analysis, and operational execution to maximize visibility, performance, and cost efficiency across all channels.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:



  • Monitor and manage GDS (Global Distribution System) performance, costs, and service quality, including invoice reconciliation and forecasting.
  • Support relationships with key distribution partners (GDS, OTAs, metasearch platforms, tour operators), serving as a liaison for service needs and performance insights.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with e-Commerce, Reservations, IT and other teams to execute tactical initiatives and address strategic distribution challenges.
  • Analyze partner performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for optimization.
  • Monitor competitor activity and digital media trends to inform distribution strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms, deliverables, and brand standards across distribution partners.
  • Plan, coordinate, and reconcile billing and reporting for cooperative advertising campaigns with airports and convention & visitor bureaus (CVBs).
  • Prepare regular reports and manage invoices related to advertising and distribution programs.
  • Assist with additional analysis tasks, as needed.


Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree
  • 4+ years of experience in a Distribution or related analytical role
  • Experience with GDS systems (Sabre preferred)
  • Knowledgeable with Google Analytics suite and Power BI reporting tools
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Strong verbal, reasoning, interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to think both creatively and critically; willing to think outside the box and challenge the status quo
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Familiarity with metasearch platforms (e.g., Google Flights, Kayak, Skyscanner)
  • Travel or aviation-related experience


Compensation:

Range $75,000 to $90,000

Full-Time, Exempt
