Operations Manager - Mobile Technical Services

What this job involves:

The Operations Manager leads the comprehensive management, supervision, and operation of Mobile Engineering Services across assigned facilities. This role ensures safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of engineering and maintenance services to customers within their respective sub-region. You will drive operational excellence while managing engineering teams, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting JLL's commitment to delivering superior facility management services that enhance our clients' business operations.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Manage and supervise engineering teams to ensure optimal labor resource allocation and timely, cost-effective service delivery across all assigned properties
  • Conduct routine on-site inspections of maintained properties and monitor work performance metrics, budget performance, and service cost projections
  • Develop and execute documented maintenance plans incorporating preventive and repair procedures while ensuring compliance with all regulatory laws and guidelines
  • Collaborate with Project Management teams to develop and execute HVAC capital work plans, including infrastructure upgrades and equipment replacements
  • Maintain all required property documentation, including drawings, work completion documents, and regulatory compliance documentation
  • Provide ongoing communication and support to Property Manager and Project Manager teams to ensure seamless engineering service delivery
  • Oversee Mobile Engineering staff management including payroll, work delivery tracking, and ongoing training program development
Required Qualifications:
  • Valid state driver's license and Universal CFC refrigerant recovery certification
  • Minimum 10 years of technical and supervisory experience in building operational engineering with strong background in packaged HVAC equipment
  • Extensive knowledge of HVAC system design, application, repair, and maintenance procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction
  • Proficiency in computer-based energy management systems (EMS), computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), Word, and Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to manage staff, including union relations where applicable
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and safety hazard identification and remediation
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional HVAC certifications or building systems credentials
  • Experience with JLL or similar property management company systems and processes
  • Background in capital project planning and execution
  • Knowledge of purchasing initiatives and vendor management
  • Experience with performance metrics reporting and business analysis
  • Leadership experience in multi-property operations management

Location: Onsite
Work Shift: standard day shift hours with on-call responsibilities

Estimated compensation for this position:

110,000.00 - 125,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
