What this job involves - The Operations Manager is responsible for managing integrated facilities services, work orders, system ownership, utilities uptime and prime customer experience for operational activities and issues. The role will ensure all basics of safety, compliance, maintenance and operation of building systems, and ensure innovation requirements are met within the controlled environment of a Life Science high-end account. Managing and tracking the customer relationship to ensure success. Additionally, this position will provide facilities support including building inspections, work order creation, vendor engagement and setup, field walks, quality assurance and associated reporting and follow up as necessary.

What your day-to-day will look like?

  • Assist facility management leadership in meeting or exceeding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); monitor service level agreements (SLA's) on a regular basis to identify potential off-track areas and plan corrective actions accordingly.
  • Oversee day to day facility operations including but not limited to maintenance, repair, project management.
  • Provide oversight for any GxP related scope activities and ensure JLL and client policies and procedures are followed.
  • Oversee the day-to-day schedule of JLL or subcontractor service providers for scope responsibilities.
  • Oversee daily work order review and follow up on work orders to ensure on time quality completion and superior customer experience.
  • Ensure client satisfaction with delivery of services and provide a lead role in monitoring and increasing customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in and support any investigations for non-conformances as well as Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA's).
  • Routinely inspect buildings and other in scope areas to ensure safety, quality, and contractual compliance and all customer obligations are met.
  • Assist in the completion of building audits.
  • Review, prioritize, and determine activities required for completion of work orders and work with suppliers to ensure complex activities are appropriately planned and executed on time.
  • Recommend continuous quality improvement practices and look for business efficiencies.
  • Must be available 24/7 to respond to building emergencies or to respond to work being performed by contractors after hours.
  • Develop a culture of continuous improvement. Lead investigations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have experience working in regulated GxP facilities.
  • 5 -10 years related work experience in Facilities Management including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Must have strong background in people management and supplier contract management.
  • Experience in the use of CMMS
  • Excellent inter-personal skills, organization skills, and strong analytical ability
  • Excellent PC skills: proficiency in all MS applications (SharePoint, Office, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, client service, developing relationships, and follow up skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiar with Maximo CMMS/work order system
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferred), science, or business

Location: On-site in Thousand Oaks, CA

Estimated compensation for this position:

110,000.00 - 135,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
